On Monday, June 7, 2010, we had the 2nd Annual Picnic of the "Munch Bunch" at Rich and Jill Colgrove's. The "Munch Bunch" is our group that gets together on Mondays at lunchtime at different restaurants in the area. This Monday we planned a picnic because it would be the last time with the "Munch Bunch" for the Brighams and the Griffins until we return from this trip at the end of summer. I have included a photo of the group.
On Wednesday, June 9 at 9:30 AM we met the Griffins at Roseland Park Shopping Center. The weather was cool and drizzly. On the way up Main Street in Canandaigua we were waved off by the 9 AM group from the "Tall Trainer" "Boot Camp" led by Jeremy Biernet. They were jogging in place and yelling and waving like crazy.
In the middle of the afternoon we stopped for diesel fuel for Ernie and gas for us. Ernie is driving a Ford 350 diesel pickup with the 5th wheel RV towed behind. Donna and I have her Toyota Sienna. This will give us flexibility at our overnight stops and in Alaska and other layovers along the way.Where we got fuel we also ate lunch across the road at Kay's Place. This was a restaurant with home cooking. Great food and plenty of it.
