leaving Madison Wisconsin

We have been at the Madison KOA since Friday afternoon. The weather changed from warm and sunny to cool and cloudy on Saturday, then some rain in the afternoon on Sunday. The highlights of this weekend has been meeting Ernie's stepsons and their families in this area. Each day we've been able to meet with one or both and spend time visiting. Ernie and the stepsons can sit for hours and talk about the old days and also catch up on what they're doing now. Some of the campers in the KOA have been interested in hearing about our goal of reaching Alaska. Some have been there, some are also heading there and many are wishing to go there. Today we'll pack up and go to Austin, MN and spend one night there. After that we're going to Rapid City, SD, near the Black Hills and Mt. Rushmore. There is a newer statue carved out of the hills in the area, a representation of Crazy Horse, the Plains Indian chief.
